DescriptionThe sitter is portrayed in three-quarters length, turned three-quarters right. She wears a white Empire gown and a white lace hood tied under the chin. A tawny-gold mantle is over her right arm and across her lap. On the fold of the mantle lies a King Charles spaniel with a rose bow.
