DescriptionThis statue portrays Earth as a woman holding a cornucopia, which represents the riches of the earth. She is standing by a creature of the earth, a lion, and she is wearing a crown, which is a symbol of city life. This is one of four statues portraying Earth, Air, Water, and Fire, the four elements representing the nature and complexity of all the matter in terms of simpler substances in ancient cultures.
