DescriptionIntertwined clusters of flowers - three purple and three yellow daisy-like flowers - running in vertical repeating pattern. Gridded ground in pencil on right side. Verso upper left shows rough sketch of house with chimney - right shows pencil sketch of two blank stained glass windows. Center shows rectangular design for Duncan Dearle's bookplate, reading 'EX LIBRIS' with daffodil design below in Art Nouveau style.
Inscribedrecto upper center in graphite: "The Merton";
recto lower right in graphite shows Dearle's monogram - a small "D" above a "W" inside a large "D";
