Label TextLike its pendant, the pagan Sibyl, installed opposite, this sculpture of a biblical Prophet exploits the dramatic potential of terracotta. Particularly remarkable is the forceful handling of the prophet’s beard and collar: a tour de force of clay modeling that is both vigorous and exquisitely expressive.
