DescriptionA hearth rug in both yarn sewing and shirring; a bold scalloped border in reds, orange, green and blues, surrounds a plain field decorated with two blue compass stars or geometric flowers. With the initials “J.H.” in brown ink on the verso, probably for James Hewins; found in Maine.
