DescriptionA Ming dynasty Fahua-type porcelain potiche jar with lapis, turquoise and aubergine glazes. At the foot of the jar is a deep wave border. The design is of lotus leaves, cranes, flowers and pods rising from waves at the base. The upper part of the jar has pendant pearl strings with clasps in the form of emblems. The lid is carved out of teakwood.
