DescriptionPaint decorated pine, six-board chest; possibly New York state; with a lift-top lettered "E.M.S."; applied motif above the cutout feet, old grain-painted surface in brown and dark yellow, with green swags above. On the underside of the top is carved "Cyrus Sherwood 1825" and further inscribed with the same name.
